Chopra will head the enterprise services division of the Windows Live portfolio of products
Microsoft Corporation India has appointed Rajneesh Chopra director, Windows Live Commercial. Chopra was earlier general manager, marketing, at Web18, the online arm of the Network18 Group.
At Microsoft, Chopra will be responsible for the provision of Windows Live services, including Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Messenger and Spaces to enterprises for commercial use.

“Windows Live Commercial forms a crucial part of Microsoft’s business. With the wealth of experience Rajneesh brings in all aspects of online marketing and operations, he will definitely help us drive and grow this significant aspect of our business,” said Prasanna Meduri, director, Windows Client Business Group, in a statement.
At Web18, Chopra headed the online initiatives of the company, including Moneycontrol.com, IBNLive.com and Cricketnext.com. Before Web18, Chopra headed the CRM division of Indiatimes.com, where he worked on the portal’s e-commerce business and its knowledge platform, Indiatimes Mindscape.
Chopra has more than 15 years of experience in the industry and holds an MBA from the University of District Columbia, in the US.
In another development at Microsoft India, Mohit Anand has quit as country manager, entertainment and devices division. No appointment has been announced in his place so far.
