Soon after, AAAI which organises GoaFest has released an official communiqué, which says that the ET report is factually incorrect
While the Indian advertising fraternity was eagerly waiting for the Abby’s result to be announced in Goa at GoaFest, the leading business daily ‘The Economic Times’ carried a report today announcing the top three agencies in the medal tally.
Soon after, AAAI which organises GoaFest has released an official communiqué, which says that the ET report is factually incorrect.
The communiqué says, “It is the result of unconnected bits and pieces of information that have been irresponsibly and regrettably leaked.”

A close group of three people and the chairman of GoaFest Committee, Jagdip Bakshi know the entire details of the awards and the final result.
The communiqué points out that in the history of Abby’s, the final result of awards has never been leaked, and so this speculation is all the more regrettable.
AAAI held an executive committee meeting early morning and all members requested affirmation of this news. They were informed that the information printed by The Economic Times is factually incorrect and misleading.

Jagdip Bakshi, chairman, GoaFest Committee adds, “We do not recognise any tally or point system which has been speculated on in the report, and hence there is no question of ranking. The Grand Prix award is recognition of an individual piece of work having achieved a certain standard in its category and in no way competes with any other piece of work.”
