The South Korean giant is ready with a 200-second ad that will run on an ad break on Channel 4’s show, Gogglebox.
The idea is to dedicate an entire ad break in a TV programme to one product. Why did Samsung think of such a potentially painstaking long ad? The answer lies in research.
The company found out that the average Britisher will spend about 61.74 days of their life waiting for a washing cycle to finish. So what? Samsung’s winning point is that the washing cycle on the Samsung device takes 66 minutes, less than standard devices.
QuickDrive, as it is called, is positioned as the ‘fastest’ and ‘smartest’ washing machine ‘ever made”. According to the company, an entire ad break dedicated to showcasing nothing but the new QuickDrive in action will deliver good clean entertainment for Channel 4 viewers.
The ad is scheduled for November 24th.
