MindShare’s Dimple Bhatia joins MPG as planning director

Bhatia, who has spent close to five years with Group M, was the business head on Lenovo at MindShare. At MPG, she will work on strategic media planning for all of MPG’s clients in India

Dimple Bhatia, business head on Lenovo at MindShare, Bangalore, has joined MPG as planning director. She will be based in Delhi and will report to Ruby Bana, who heads MPG South. With this move, Bhatia ends her five-year association with Group M. Incidentally, Bhatia has worked with Bana in an earlier stint with Maxus.

Bhatia comments on her move to MPG, “Although I had a great stint at Group M, it was time for me to move on. I share a good rapport with Ruby Bana, so when she offered me this new role, I took it up.” Bhatia will help in conducting strategic media planning studies with the help of various tools for all MPG clients across the country. She will also aid in the pitch process.

Bhatia started her career with Sony Entertainment Television in the sales function. After having spent close to four years there, she joined O&M in the media department. With the formation of MindShare, Bhatia was assigned the task of handling the media for Onida while there.

Later on, she joined Maxus, Bangalore, where she handled Britannia. It was here that she was the winner of a silver Emvie for her work on the ‘Britannia 50-50 Mujhse Shaadi Karogi Contest’. After spending one and a half years there, Bhatia moved on to head Lenovo at MindShare.
