The Posterscope Group has announced the appointment of Rajesh Ramavarapu as business director, South, for Hyperspace.
This is a strategic move by the Group to consolidate its business and work towards its commitment to revolutionise the Indian retail and digital scenario.
In an official communiqué, Haresh Nayak, managing director, Posterscope Group, says, "Ramavarapu brings in versatility, coupled with 15 years of industry experience and a thorough knowledge of ATL (above the line) and BTL (below the line) advertising solutions. His rich experience in the areas of retail trade marketing and ambient advertising will surely enrich the range of offerings being currently envisaged by Team Posterscope in India."
Ramavarapu will also work closely with other Posterscope units, bringing in integration for their clients.
On his appointment, Ramavarapu says, "This is a great opportunity and I look forward to taking Hyperspace to the next level of brand experience and client delight."
A graduate in Economics, Ramavarapu has a post-graduate diploma in Retail and Brand Management, along with an Executive Programme Certification from IIM Calcutta, in Sales and Marketing.
Prior to joining Posterscope Group, Ramavarapu served as associate business director at Enhance Ambient Communications in Chennai since March 2009.
He has worked in various categories including auto, FMCG, alcohol, consumer durables, telecom and finance, and real-estate. Some of the brands he has worked on include ITC, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, General Motors, Pepsi, Bharti Airtel, Tata Indicom, Samsung, Essar Telecom, UniverCell, BlackBerry, Asian Paints, Hero Honda Motors, BPCL, IOCL, and Seagram's India, to name a few.
In the past, he has also worked with Percept OOH, Kinetic -- Group M, Pronexus and Starcom Worldwide.
