Vaishali Sharma, VP, marketing at Times Now quits

The channel is yet to find a replacement and until then, the mandate will be under the direct supervision of Sunil Lulla, MD and CEO, Times Global Broadcasting.

Vaishali Sharma, vice-president, marketing, Times Now has put in her papers. Sharma joined Times Now in July, 2011 to head the channel's marketing functions.

Citing personal reasons behind her resignation, Sharma tells afaqs!, "I am yet to decide on my next destination." She adds that the channel is yet to find a replacement and until then, the mandate will be under the direct supervision of Sunil Lulla, managing director and chief executive officer, Times Global Broadcasting.

Before she joined Times Now, Sharma was with BBC for about five years. There, she headed marcomm, South Asia, for the organisation's global news division. She joined BBC in 2006. Earlier, she was head, marketing at Walt Disney for two years.

Sharma also had a two-year stint in advertising as associate vice-president at JWT (2002-04).
