Des Mein makes its way to the top once again

Aruna Irani’s weekly serial is the leader in the C&S Top 100 for the week of June 15-21, 2003

A week after it climbed to No 2 from a steady No 4, Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand has crossed the final leg in the race to the finish. It has clinched the top slot in TAM's list of Top 100 shows on C&S television for the week of June 15-21. The score, 9.4. Balaji's Kasautii Zindagii Kay is down to No 2 and 3 with a score of 9.3 (episodes telecast on June 16 and 17), while sister productions Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi have notched up scores of 9.2 and 9 respectively (episodes telecast on June 17).

Kasautii and Kyunki occupy the second half of the Top 10 listing with the June 19 episode of Kasautii with 8.7 followed by the June 19, 16 and 18 episodes of Kyunki with 8.6 (for episodes telecast on June 19 and 16) and 8.4 respectively. The June 18 episode of Kasautii completes the Top 10 line up with a score of 8.3.

In all, STAR has 58 entries in the Top 100 while Sony Entertainment Television (SET) has six entries and ZEE TV has a singular entry in Thursday Premiere Pran Jaye Par Shan Na Jaye (telecast on June 19) with a score of 2.4, ranked at No 73.

For Sony, the June 20 episodes of CID and Devi lead the pack with a score of 2.7 (Nos 64 and 66) while the June 21 episode of Kya Hadsaa stands at No 68 with a score of 2.6, June 19 episode of Kkusum at No 71 (with 2.5), June 20 episode of Heena at 74 (with TVR of 2.4) and June 18 episode of Kkusum at No 82 (TVR 2.1).

ZEE Cinema finds a mention in this week's list courtesy Hindi feature film Gadar Ek Prem Katha, telecast on June 15. It is ranked 76 and has a TVR of 2.3.

SUN and Gemini occupy 34 slots in total with flagship SUN walking away with the bulk of 25 entries and Gemini having nine entries to its credit.

The driver for SUN is a film-based show titled Natchathira Kalai Vizha, telecast on June 21 and at 35 (with a TVR of 4), while traditional leader Metty Oli is next in line with a score of 3.8 (episode telecast on June 19), ranked at No 36.

Gemini has the bankable Ninne Pilladata, telecast on June 17 and 16, leading the pack with a score of 2.1 (Nos 83 and 85), while the June 21 episode of Dance Baby Dance and the June 15 episode of mythological Nagaama are next with scores of 2 (Nos 86 and 90) respectively. © 2003 agencyfaqs!
