Nandu Narasimhan to end ‘fantastic run’ at Grey, Delhi

Narasimhan, who is the regional creative director (North) at Grey Worldwide, Delhi, will be moving out by the end of March

Nandu Narasimhan, regional creative director (North) of Grey Worldwide, has put in his papers and will be moving out by the end of March 2006. Narasimhan is not revealing where his next assignment will be; all he will say is that he’s evaluating several options. He adds that he will be joining his next assignment by mid-April and probably continue to be based in Delhi.

On his decision to quit Grey, Narasimhan says, “It has been a fantastic two-year run, but I have been contemplating this move for a while now. I am ready now to take on more responsibility and this seems to be an opportune moment to make a big leap in my career.”

He continues, “The team that I had built up at Grey, which had Anirban Sen and Mayur Hola, was a good team comprising like-minded people. Now that some members of my team have moved on, I think that the time has come for me also to take my career to a different level. Also, I want to sign off while the going is good.”

Narasimhan says the two years he has spent at Grey Worldwide have been both enriching and fulfilling. This is partly because he got to work with some big-ticket brands like Wrigley’s and Samsung. He remembers fondly the latest work he did for the Sabena dish washing bar soap. He says, “In the last two years, Grey Worldwide managed to up the standards of creativity and the Delhi office churned out some really good work.”

Narasimhan, who believes in the mantra of team work, has earlier worked with Contract Advertising, Lowe and TBWAIndia. He has worked on various brands, including Maruti, Xerox, Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), JK Tyres, Parker Pens, Dabur and Domino’s Pizza. He dubs the SAIL campaign as a significant work in his career. Another favourite is the Domino’s campaign featuring Paresh Rawal.
