Innocean's Dasgupta and David’s Nandwani to judge New York Festivals

Saurabh Dasgupta of Innocean and Amit Nandwani of David have been invited to judge the Print, Design and Outdoor category at the New York Festivals. The New York Festivals (NYF) is an international awards company founded in 1957. These awards recognise outstanding work in advertising, programming, design and marketing.

Dasgupta, the creative team head of Innocean, who was also part of the jury at the Summit Creative Awards for the Broadcast category, says, “These awards are a good platform to learn from watching the works of creatives from across the world.”

Dasgupta has also been a winner at the NYF. Last year, he was part of the team which won the silver at the AME (Advertising and Marketing Effectiveness) Awards of the NYF.

Dasgupta has earlier worked with Mudra and Leo Burnett. He has worked for brands such as Coca-Cola, Airtel Magic, Priya Cinema, Dabur, HBO, Samsung and Electrolux.

Amit Nandwani, creative group head, brand, David, Delhi, who is also on the panel to judge the Print, Design and Outdoor category, says, “The news came as a big surprise to me. It’s a real honour and a triumph of the David spirit.”

Nandwani and his art partner, Rohit Devgun, have to their credit various prestigious awards in the last two years, including a One Show Pencil, Clio Statue, London International Statue, several metals, including a gold at the NYF, several Bullets at the Young Guns, the Abbys, OBIE and Media Asia Awards as well as entries in ‘Communication Arts’, ‘The Work’ and Ogilvy’s ‘Red Hot’. Nandwani’s outdoor entry for WWF-India, titled ‘Nests’, was the most awarded Indian creative in 2004.

It has already been reported by agencyfaqs! that Senthil Kumar, associate vice-president and creative director, JWT, Mumbai, will be on the jury for the Television Advertising category at the NYF.
