O&M, Bangalore, gets Foster’s back after six years

SAB Miller has entrusted the creative duties for the brand with O&M, Bangalore. No formal pitch was called for the business

SAB Miller India has entrusted the creative duties for its beer brand, Foster’s, to Ogilvy & Mather (O&M), Bangalore. No formal pitch was called for the business; it was awarded to O&M just on the basis of its past credentials.

As per informed industry sources, the size of the business will not be more than Rs 5-6 crore.

Prateek Srivastava, group president, O&M, South, says, “The fact that the business was awarded to us on the basis of our past credentials proves the level of confidence the client has in our agency.”

O&M, Bangalore, gets Foster’s back after six years
SAB Miller and O&M’s partnership dates back to 1998, when Foster’s was launched in India. O&M worked on the account for about two years, after which it moved to TBWA India.

However, some of the other SAB Miller brands such as Castle and Haywards 5000, which had been with O&M since 2002, continued to be handled by the agency.

When asked about the communication strategy, Srivastava said that it was being worked out and that since it was a beer brand, a lot of non-traditional media would be employed.
