Mudra’s Meera Sharath Chandra to judge at One Show Interactive Awards 2007

One Show Interactive Awards are presented for showcasing new ideas in international work and focusing on creative concepts in the new media industry

Meera Sharath Chandra, national creative director, Mudra Marketing Services, has been invited from India, along with 25 other top creative people around the world, to judge at the 11th annual One Show Interactive Awards. The judging process will happen between March 11 and 17, 2007, in New York.

Meera Sharath Chandra has a 25-year track record in the industry in India as well as overseas. Her work has been recognised at award shows such as Cannes, London International Advertising Awards, New York Festival, Asia-Pacific Ad Fest, Webby and the Rx Club. It’s the first time that she has been invited to judge the One Show Interactive Award event. Otherwise, for the last four years, she has been part of the jury for the online award show called The Web Awards.

Currently, Chandra is responsible for heading the creative function of Mudra’s five key strategic business units which include Tribal DDB India, Brand Therapist, Kidstuff Promos & Events, Primesite and Rapp Collins India. The other agencies she has worked with during her career span are Contract Advertising, Everest, Saatchi and Saatchi, JWT and MAA Bozell.

One Show Interactive is an award show for new media and online advertising and awards gold, silver and bronze ‘pencils’ to work from countries worldwide. ‘Viral and Email’ and ‘Online Mini Movies’ were the two new innovative categories which were showcased last year as recognition to the emerging field of new media.

Judges for One Show Interactive are chosen on the basis of their holistic view of business operations and international experience in mainline and new media advertising.

Winning entries are published in the annual ‘One Show Interactive’, regarded as an essential reference for both creative agencies and clients. Last year saw a 40 per cent increase in the number of entries. As many as 38 countries participated and the judges were chosen from countries such as Brazil, the United Kingdom, Japan and Sweden.
