AAAI Goafest scheduled to be held in April

The much awaited Goafest, organised by the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI), will be held in Goa on April 20 and 21.

According to Srinivasan K Swamy, president, AAAI, close to 2,000 participants are expected this year. Says Swamy, "This year, the Goafest will give away creative as well as media awards, a move that will provide both creative and media agency professionals the opportunity to look at advertising holistically and understand each other's importance."

Arvind Sharma, chairman of the AAAI Goafest Committee, says, "Goafest 2007 promises to be bigger and better. We are moving many steps forward to provide a truly international experience."

For the record, in 2006, McCann-Erickson walked away with the maximum metals (42), which included five golds, 14 silvers and 23 bronzes. JWT bagged 22, of which five were golds for Levi's Slim Jeans.
