Anand Bhardwaj quits Electrolux Kelvinator

Anand Bhardwaj, executive vice-president, marketing & marketing services, Electrolux Kelvinator, has put in his papers

In a recent development, Anand Bhardwaj, executive vice-president, marketing & marketing services, Electrolux Kelvinator Ltd (EKL), has put in his papers. On January 15, he would be putting an end to his four-and-a-half-year stint at the Indian subsidiary of Swedish white goods manufacturer AB Electrolux. Bhardwaj, however, was not ready to talk about his next stop. All he would say is "I am exploring options".

Forty-five-year-old Bhardwaj would take with him around two decades of work experience spanning advertising and marketing functions. He started his career at Lowe where he spent 10 years before moving on to tobacco company Godfrey Philips. In six years it was time for him to move again, and the next stop was EKL.

During his stint at the company, Bhardwaj has seen three rounds of restructuring and the integration of two of its brands Electrolux and Kelvinator under the umbrella brand - Electrolux Kelvinator. In fact, the company has been in the midst of a churn since November last when Ram S Ramasundar, managing director & CEO of EKL, quit to join Nipuna Services, the BPO (business process outsourcing) subsidiary of Satyam Computer Services, as its chief operating officer.

In November the company also announced that Rajeev Karwal, business head of consumer electronics at Philips India, would take over as chief executive officer of EKL this year, with overall responsibility for the company's operations. Karwal is slated to join the company on February 1. © 2003 agencyfaqs!
