Rajesh Sheshadri quits TV Today; joins NGC

Rajesh Sheshadri, senior marketing manager, TV Today, has put in his papers. He is joining National Geographic Channel as vice-president, marketing.

Confirming this development to agencyfaqs!, Sheshadri said, “I will be taking over the new responsibility from mid-June.” Rumours have been rife in the industry for a few months about Sheshadri's plans to quit TV Today.

Sheshadri will be moving in place of Charath Narsimhan, who recently quit National Geographic to join Raymond.

Prior to TV Today, Sheshadri was working as brand manager with The Indian Express. After spending three years in the Express group, he joined TV Today in 2002.

He says, “I am looking forward to the new role and a new genre of television.”

TV Today has two channels in its bouquet – Aaj Tak is a Hindi news channel and Headlines Today, an English news channel. © 2005 agencyfaqs!
