ZEE’s JK Ray to take charge as VP, network sales; Ajay Trigunayat as Zee Bangla's business head

Following changes in the top management of ZEE Telefilms, Jayanta Kumar Ray, business head, ZEE Bangla, will move to Mumbai and take charge as vice-president, network sales of the group.

Meanwhile, Ajay Trigunayat will replace Ray as business head of ZEE Bangla.

Confirming this development to agencyfaqs!, Ashish Kaul, senior vice-president, corporate brand development, ESSEL Group, says, “The changes will be effective September 9 onwards.”

Ray will now be in-charge of the entire ZEE network's retail and slot sales.

Ray says, “The new role will be both a challenge and an opportunity for me; selling 19 channels afterall is more difficult than selling a single channel – ZEE Bangla.”

Ray, whose core competence is sales, adds that as business head, he wasn't responsible for the bottomline of the company. "This will now change.”

"Ajay Trigunayat, who is currently on leave on health grounds, is expected to resume office soon," says Ashish Kaul.
