Amit Tripathi of Zoom joins Zee News

Amit Tripathi, sales head, Delhi, Zoom, has decided to end his year-long association with the channel. He is joining Zee News as its head, ad-sales. He will replace Sanjay Dua, who has recently moved to TV18 as head of ad-sales.

Tripathi will report to Lakshmi N Goel, director, newsgroup, Zee News. Confirming this development, Goel says, “Although his date of joining is yet to be finalised, Tripathi has agreed to join the Zee News team. He will be looking after the advertising and sales department of Zee News and Zee Business.”

Tripathi will be responsible for generating revenue and creating new business for the channel.

Incidentally, Tripathi began his career with Zee Telefilms. From 1994 to 2001, he worked in the advertising and sales department of Zee Network. After that he moved to Sify as its regional manager – north for a year. Before joining Zoom Television, he also worked for Sahara One as senior manager for about two years.
