Manjiri Kamat, GM, Maxus, Mumbai, has moved to Mediaedge:cia, Malaysia, as country head. Rathi Ganappa, business director, Maxus, Mumbai, will replace Kamat in Mumbai.

CVL Srinivas, CEO, Maxus, says, “This move comes close on the heels of other senior level restructuring at the Group M agencies, Mindshare and Maxus.”

Senior executives from the two agencies are moving to take senior positions within the Group M Network.

Another senior professional from Group M, Sunitha Gopalakrishnan, has been shifted to MindShare, Indonesia, as country head.

Manjiri Kamat, an MBA from Sydenham College, started her career with JWT (then HTA) in 1991. She moved to Mindshare in 2002 and then shifted to Maxus in 2003.

Srinivas says, “Kamat has contributed immensely to the growth of Maxus business in Mumbai. She was overseeing accounts such as Hutch, Tata Motors, Pidilite, VIP, Walt Disney, IDBI and Bajaj Allianz. We are sure she will turn out to be a big asset to Mediaedge:cia, Malaysia.”

Commenting on her move, Kamat says, “The experience that I have gathered from my India operations will help me go a long way.”

“Ganappa is also a great resource for the agency. She was groomed for this designation and is well equipped to carry on the agency’s agenda in Mumbai,” adds Kamat.

The new general manager of Maxus, Mumbai, Rathi Ganappa, started her career with Lintas in 1996. She moved to Maxus, Bangalore, in 2003. She joined the Maxus, Mumbai, team in 2004.
