Radio City’s Saurabh Kanwar moves to CHannel [v]

After having worked with Radio City for 11 months, Saurabh Kanwar joins CHannel [v] as vice-president, content and communication

CHannel [v] has appointed Saurabh Kanwar its vice-president for content and communication. Kanwar joined CHannel [v] a week ago.

Before CHannel [v], Kanwar was head of marketing at Radio City. When asked for the reason for his exit from the FM station, he said that the move was a ‘natural progression’.

Kanwar’s mandate at CHannel [v] will be to develop and build innovative programming. “It will be an easy task here to experiment and come up with out-of-the-box content that will make viewers laugh, grin or smirk,” he says.

Kanwar was with Radio City for 11 months. Prior to that, he worked with Walt Disney as head of sponsorship marketing. His overall marketing experience comprises 11 years.

Interestingly, Kanwar has also worked with MTV for six years, again in the marketing arena. He says that the common factor over the span of his career has been the strong brands with which he has worked. According to him, marketing had a key role to play in all of them.

About Kanwar’s appointment, Amar K Deb, head, CHannel [v], says, “I have no doubt that he will bring a new dimension to our product development, helping us to further enhance the diversity of our offerings.”
