Deccan Chronicle has formed Sieger Solutions, a company dedicated to its marketing and ad sales function. Tripathy, who was general manager at Maxus, Delhi, has joined the new company as its CEO

‘Deccan Chronicle’ has decided to launch a separate company for its marketing and ad sales function. This new entity will be called Sieger Solutions, which will be a 100 per cent subsidiary of Deccan Chronicle Holdings.

The objective of Sieger Solutions is to build a closer relationship with advertisers and advertising agencies. It will also deal in other 360-degree activities. Its functions will be similar to that of Jagran Engage of Jagran Prakashan or Times Response belonging to The Times of India group.

Sieger Solutions will commence operations from September 22. This development was confirmed to agencyfaqs! by PK Iyer, executive director, Deccan Chronicle Holdings.

Debraj Tripathy, who till date was general manager, Maxus, Delhi, will head this new company as its CEO. Tripathi, who is currently serving his notice period with Maxus, will come on board in two weeks’ time.

Tripathy, an alumnus of IIM Kolkata, started his advertising career with O&M Bangalore in 1994. There he worked on brands such as Brooke Bond and IBM. In 1997, he moved to the Mumbai office of O&M, where he handled clients such as HLL, Asian Paints and Cadbury’s.

He shifted back to Bangalore to head Fulcrum, Bangalore, in 2002, which was the time when MindShare was formed. He took over as the head of Maxus, Delhi, in August 2004, following the exit of LS Krishnan.
