Vidhu Sagar joins India Today Group’s business division as senior GM, marketing

Sagar’s mandate will be to look after the marketing operations of the group’s publications, including ‘Business Today’, ‘Time’, ‘Fortune’, ‘Golf Digest’ and ‘Scientific American’

Vidhu Sagar has been appointed senior general manager, marketing, of the India Today Group’s business division. Prior to this, he was general manager with FCB-Ulka, Delhi. His new mandate will be to look after the marketing operations of the group’s publications including ‘Business Today’, ‘Time’, ‘Fortune’, ‘Golf Digest’ and ‘Scientific American’.

Sagar says, “The media and entertainment industries today are very vibrant and growing at a fast pace. The India Today Group, especially, has reached great heights and achieved success that is beyond compare. Joining the group provides me with interesting opportunities to grow and do some great work.”

Sagar has more than 15 years of experience in the field of advertising. After an MBA from IMT, Ghaziabad, he started his career as a media planner at Everest Advertising and later moved to Contract Advertising. Some of the brands he has worked on include NIIT, HCL, Compaq, Hero Honda, Bausch & Lomb, Tropicana, Dabur, ABN Amro and ITC—John Players.
