Dentsu Aegis Network's WATConsult along with Motilal Oswal has launched a digital campaign called #TheOnlyTIP. The campaign features stand-up comedian Mallika Dua and actor Manav Kaul.
In the video, Dua plays multiple characters who have fallen victim to unsolicited advice. The benefits of TIP (Target Investment Plan), a goal based investing platform are also highlighted in the video.
Casting stand-up comic artists in the ads of financial services seems to be becoming ad land's favourite formula. Not so long back, PayU brought together a string of comedians on board to advertise their then new offering, LazyPay. Even ICICI launched a new ad campaign featuring comedian Abish Mathew.
Speaking about the campaign, Rajiv Dingra, founder and CEO, WATConsult says in a press note, "Humour has emerged as an effective medium in recent years. Keeping this in mind, the team conceptualised this campaign with a humorous twist to break the pattern of serious marketing done by most financial brands. With a renowned personality like Mallika Dua as a part of the campaign, we are sure that the message will reach out to many."
Speaking on the same, Ramnik Chhabra, marketing director, Motilal Oswal adds, "Our Target Investment Plan, i.e. TIP, is a unique product that helps people fulfill their investing goals by creating the ideal mix of investing amount, investing horizon and fund to be invested in. The film helps present this in an engaging way."
WATConsult, which recently completed 10 years, was founded by Rajiv Dingra in the year 2007.
