While the former won a silver award, a certificate and 16 Finalist nominations, the latter picked up a silver award. rmg david has also won a Finalist nomination

O&M India and Leo Burnett India have once again done Indian advertising proud by picking up awards at Media Magazine's Asian Advertising Awards 2003, held in Hong Kong late last week. While O&M picked up one silver award and one certificate (an equivalent of a bronze award), Burnett picked up a silver. In addition to the silver and the certificate, O&M India also won 16 Finalist nominations. Sibling rmg david too won a Finalist nomination.

O&M won its silver for the ‘maut ka kuan' (Well of Death) print ad for Fevicol, in the Home Furnishing/Appliances category. And the agency won its certificate courtesy the ‘barber' commercial for Center Shock, in the Food category. Burnett bagged its silver for the ‘World Ozone Day' ad for Sanctuary Magazine, in the Public Services/Charity category. Of interest is the fact that the ‘maut ka kuan' ad for Fevicol and the ‘ozone' ad for Sanctuary had also picked up bronze awards at the AP AdFest 2003, held at Pattaya, Thailand, earlier this month.

Media Magazine's Asian Advertising Awards, constituted by the Hong Kong-based Media Magazine, are given away each year to honour great creative output from the Asian continent. According to the magazine's website, this year's event attracted some 2,000 entries from across the Asia-Pacific region. Mark Tutssel, vice-chairman & deputy chief creative officer, Leo Burnett USA, chaired this year's awards jury. For the record, this year's Best of the Best award went to Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH), Singapore, for the brilliantly art directed print campaign for Levi's. © 2003 agencyfaqs!
