Leo Burnett bags the creative duties for ‘Off the Shelf’ furniture retail chain

The furniture store has three branches in Mumbai at present, and industry sources estimate the size of the business to be worth several crores of rupees

Leo Burnett, Mumbai, has added another business to its kitty. The agency has won the creative duties for the furniture retail chain, ‘Off the Shelf’.

Although neither the agency nor the client was ready to reveal the exact size of the business, industry sources estimate it to be worth several crores of rupees.

Srikanth Sarathy, brand partner, Leo Burnett, says, “The client was impressed with our work on McDonalds, and that’s how we got the business.”

He adds, “Our job as a creative agency will be to drive more footfalls into the store. Through our efforts, we plan to make the store exciting enough for customers to drop in frequently.”

Leo Burnett hasn’t finalised the media mix as yet, but the new campaign will involve the print media predominantly, with radio as a supplementary medium.

For the record, ‘Off the Shelf’ is a well-known furniture retail chain in Mumbai. It started off with a store in Lower Parel. Within six months, it expanded to two more outlets in Kandivli and Mulund. ‘Off the Shelf’ offers a wide variety of residential as well as office furniture and accessories.
