Prathap Suthan’s next destination is Cheil Communications
Prathap Suthan is gearing up for a fresh challenge. Though he is tight lipped about his next destination, sources reveal to agencyfaqs! that Pat is set to join Samsung’s own agency, Cheil Communications
Prathap Suthan, who recently quit Grey Worldwide India, where he was national creative director, will soon move to Cheil Communications.
When contacted, Pat, as he is popularly known in the advertising circuit, declined to comment. He said that he has a few offers in hand and is still evaluating them. One such offer is from a US-based company that plans to set up a television outsourcing hub in the country. Pat also did not rule out remaining in advertising.
He added that in the future, he will not limit himself to creative, but will aim to function as a partner, generate talent, go beyond traditional advertising methods and grow the business, irrespective of his next destination.
However, sources have confirmed agencyfaqs! that Pat’s next destination is Cheil Communications.

However, Pat is of the opinion that there is a wealth of talent that he has left behind at Grey and there are at least three senior CDs at Grey who could take up the reins of Grey’s creative department.
Regarding Grey, Pat said that it was one agency that had given him freedom since the very beginning. He spent about 11 years at Grey.
He started his career as a copywriter with a small agency in Thiruvananthapuram. Soon, he took a break to move to the USA. Once back, he joined Mudra, Ahmedabad, as part of India’s first copy training program. Post his stint at Mudra, he joined Trikaya Grey, as it was known earlier, in Kolkata, and then moved to Delhi. He has been with the agency since then.
