Ex-‘TOI’ man Vivek Bahl joins Dentsu Communications, Delhi, as creative director

Bahl moves from ‘The Times of India’, where he was the chief manager, brand team

Vivek Bahl has joined Dentsu Communications, Delhi, as creative director. He moves from ‘The Times of India’ (‘TOI’), where he was the chief manager, brand team.

Talking about his move to Dentsu Communications, Bahl says, “I started my career in an ad agency around 12 years ago. After having done stints in marketing, I wanted to return to the creative world once again. It almost feels like returning home.”

Gullu Sen, chief creative officer, Dentsu India, remarks, “Bahl has been a close associate for many years. When I was with Rediffusion DY&R, Bahl was a client of mine! He is a bright, creative guy and a fabulous presenter. So, we didn’t think twice.”

At Dentsu Communications, Bahl will be handling a variety of brands, some of which include Yamaha, Old Admiral, iMate and Jaypee Greens (a real estate project from the Jaypee Group in Delhi).

Bahl started his career in 1993 as a copywriter at Anthem (now TBWA). He moved on to Dhar & Hoon in 1997. After spending three years in Dhar & Hoon, Bahl moved to Grey Worldwide (then Trikaya Grey).

In 2001, Bahl decided to venture into marketing with PVR Cinemas, Delhi. His last move was to ‘TOI’ in 2003.
