IMCL’s Rahul Kapuria joins vJive Network

His primary mandate will be to take care of the national revenue and sales of media services and consolidate the core team for business development

Rahul Kapuria, who was chief marketing officer for the Hinduja Group’s IndusInd Media and Communication Ltd (IMCL), has joined vJive Networks, the out of home media and digital signage network.

At vJive, Kapuria is designated as vice-president, sales and business development, media services. His primary mandate will be to take care of the national revenue and sales of media services and consolidate the core team for business development.

Commenting on his new assignment, Kapuria says, “The out of home media and digital signage is a dynamic business and is growing very fast in India. With large scale retail players, such as Reliance and Walmart, stepping up, there is immense scope for this business to grow further.” He goes on to add that precision in this business comes from detailing where and how much time is being spent out of home by the consumer.

Kapuria has 18 years of experience in the field of sales and marketing. After completing his MBA from IIPM, New Delhi, in 1986, he started his career in sales with Voltas. After three years at Voltas, he joined Amtrex in 1989 and worked there as the national sales head for three years.

Then he joined the Jayanti Group as general manager, marketing, and stayed associated with the organisation for the next three years. His next stint was with Magnasound, where he worked for close to four years as vice-president, sales. Before joining IMCL – among India’s largest integrated multisystem broadband operators – he was associated with Kenstar as general manager for two years.
