Madison World wins media duties for ITC; business size over Rs 400 crore

The incumbent on the account is Lintas Media Group (LMG)

As a result of a multi-agency pitch that was initiated earlier this year, Madison World has won the media duties for ITC. The agency will now handle the entire ITC portfolio, across all verticals.

The news was confirmed to afaqs! by Hemant Malik, marketing head, foods division, ITC. It has been learnt that the size of the business is over Rs 400 crore.

The media agencies that took part in the pitch process include Group M's MEC, Starcom MediaVest and Mudra Max.

A source at Madison World shares, on condition of anonymity, that the agency's relationship with the business conglomerate will see the light of day on January 01, 2011.

ITC is one of India's foremost private sector companies with presence in hotels, paperboards/specialty papers, packaging, agri-business, packaged foods and confectionery, information technology, branded apparel, personal care, cigarettes, safety matches, and stationery, as well as several other FMCG products.

The company, whose corporate positioning statement is 'Enduring Value. For the Nation. For the Shareholder', employs over 26,000 individuals at 60 locations across the country and has over 388,000 shareholders.
