Percept D’Mark goes international

Called PDM International, the company will be based in Dubai

The celebrity management and event marketing arm of the Percept Group (Percept D’Mark) has launched its international operations. The company – PDM International – will be based in Dubai and will be headed by Sanjay Lal, who was the founder and executive director of Percept D’Mark India.

Lal has been redesignated as managing director and CEO of PDM International,

Preeta Singh, formerly with O&M, will be stepping into Lal's shoes as CEO of Percept D’Mark India. Devraj Sanyal, who joined PDM India as COO in 2003 (from Bennett, Coleman & Co’s event marketing arm 360 Degrees), will continue in the same position.

PDM International will be the hub for the company’s expansion into allied markets. It will tap into the existing networks of PDM Gulf and PDM West to begin with.

Plans are, Lal explains, to take “India overseas via entertainment”. “Bollywood today is probably the most popular export from India, followed by cricket. We see a tremendous opportunity in North America, Europe, Gulf and the Far East for marketing the Indian entertainment industry, especially in pockets where NRIs are located.”

PDM’s key clients in India include Hero Honda, Airtel, LG, Sahara, Pepsi, Nestle, HSBC and P&G. Established in 1994, the company is a joint venture between Percept and the UK-based Aegis Plc. © 2005 agencyfaqs!
