Dheeraj Sinha will lead the strategic planning function at Bates

Dheeraj Sinha, planning director, Euro RSCG, has joined Bates Mumbai as associate vice-president, strategic planning.

Confirming the development to agencyfaqs!, Subhash Kamath, chief executive officer, Bates India, says, “Strategic planning has always been an important function at Bates. But now, with our new strategic planning tool – Change Point Planning – we needed a senior professional in each centre.”

Sinha, a communications graduate from MICA, started his career in planning at McCann-Erickson, where he spent around six years. He moved to Euro RSCG as planning director early this year.

Sinha has worked on diverse categories from FMCG products, consumer durables and food products to IT, finance, automotive and tourism. The brands that Sinha has worked on include MasterCard, LG, Goodyear, Emirates, Globus, Reckitt Benkiser, Panasonic, Pondicherry Tourism, Mahindra Tractors & Automotive and Mahindra British Telecom (MBT).

Sinha’s role in Bates is expected to be full of challenges. As he says, “The whole challenge is to establish and create a unique planning culture for Bates.”
